While there, I watched children with autism begin to change as well as other individuals and colleagues find hope for a better future. This resonated within me and after having a 20-year fulfilling career, I felt I had found another purpose to dedicate myself to and decided to start my own clinic to help bring wellness to others who are struggling like I once did.
Brain health is a very personal and important mission for me.
During my 20 years of service as a US Navy SEAL and over 14 combat deployments, I received multiple traumatic brain injuries from explosions.
Over the next several years, the negative effects became apparent. I struggled with anxiety, depression, confusion, headaches, and sleep issues. I was offered medications to treat the symptoms. However, I wanted to go deeper and get to the root cause to resolve the issues.
After years of searching, I found the MeRT treatment through the Brain Treatment Center in San Diego, California. I spent 7 weeks going through the MeRT treatment. I learned about what was happening in my brain to cause those symptoms.
Early into the treatment, I started sleeping through the night after years of broken and unhealthy sleepless nights. After 6 weeks, I noticed a dramatic improvement in the other issues. I finally started to heal and feel like myself again.
